Xenia Splawinski
www.sananda.ca
Xenia is my yoga teacher whom I studied with in the fall of 2003. It was a
very rich, challenging and inspiring training that I am eternally grateful for,
as Xenia supported and encouraged each of us through the 10 months. It was with her
compassion, deep understanding and awareness that I was able to remain committed,
and complete the 500 hours of training. Namaste!

very passionate about these teachings and it comes across through her work.
Meher Baba Pilgrim Centre, India www.ambppct.org
"I have come to sow the seed of love in your hearts so that, in spite of all
superficial diversity which your life in illusion must experience and endure,
the feeling of oneness, through love, is brought about amongst all the nations,
creeds, sects and castes of the world".
Prithvi Organization www.prithvi.org.in
I met two women who created this organization
in India, helping empower rural women from local villages create sustainable employment as well as educate them about the
growing problem of AIDS. Their
work and dedication is extremely admirable and worth checking out.
WWOOF
Program: www.wwoof.ca
WWOOF stands for Willing Workers on Organic Farms and is an
organization set up out of British Columbia that connects people who want to learn a sustainable way of living --
operating a business that supports the individual, community, environment and planet, growing organic
food, making natural medicine, learning holistic therapies, building off the grid,
alternative structures, etc. with hosts
who are attempting to live a sustainable lifestyle integrating any or all of the
above methods.
I am currently registered with the WWOOF Program and would like to share my way of
living
with those genuinely interested in learning and practicing this way of life.
Friends of Clayoquot Sound
www.focs.ca
This growing organization has continued to educate the public regarding the
clear cutting of old growth trees in the Clayoquot Sound area, located on
Vancouver Island, British Columbia. In the summer of 1993, after
returning from two years of travelling through Asia, I quickly became aware of the
devastation of our remaining old growth trees.
As a result of my involvement in
Canada's largest protest, I
received a 45-day sentence and a $1,500 fine. I served my time and my
fine was overturned in an appeal. It remains one of the most rewarding
things that I have become involved in and supported. This experience
helped me to recognize the power of my voice, to be expressed and heard. I
encourage all people to find that inner strength and power that we each have
within us, and
express it in your own way.
